Donate

While you may have many opportunities to donate to organizations (large and small) to help particular causes, such as saving animal lives, many people often have skepticism as to whether or not the money that they donate actually gets put to use the way it was intended by the donor. (Frankly, I don’t blame you for having such skepticism.)

I want to let you know that at the San Jose Animal Care Center, we have a very specific way for you to donate where the money goes into a very specific fund called the Guardian Angel Program. The Guardian Angel Program (GAP) provides money for us, as the shelter’s veterinarians, to designate to go towards getting extra special care for the animals that come into our shelter. Oftentimes this money goes towards providing animals with care that may require a more involved procedure than we are currently unable to do within the shelter.

With the cost of veterinary care being what it is, it is hard for a shelter to afford 4-5k for every animal that comes in with a broken bone to get the treatment it deserves. My goal is to ultimately make it so that no animal with a treatable or manageable condition is euthanized. Please help me reach my goal.

I can guarantee that the money you donate will be used to provide veterinary care to animals with treatable conditions.

I can also guarantee that the money you donate will save lives!

If you can, add a note to your donation indicating that Tails of a Shelter Vet inspired you to donate!

Regardless of the amount you are able to contribute, it will make a difference. Thank you in advance for considering donating to this cause.

If, however, you are not currently able to help out financially, please consider donating your time to the shelter animals by becoming a volunteer. You will not regret this decision.
